A wire rabbit

On Wednesday I attempted my first wire sculpture: a rabbit.  It was a great fun. Apparently you just need thick gloves and something to cut wire. The old headphones ended up as the eyes.  Hopefully the bunny will find a place in the community garden at Pen Dinas.

People vs politicians

Submitted by Alexandra Cook on Fri, 07/02/2014 - 09:59

Numerous individuals act to bring peace, justice, prosperity and equality to the world. They sign petitions, donate, blog, march, form charitable organisations. It is all right and noble.

Governments often say the same words, appear to care about Human rights and environment. They have to: otherwise people won't vote for them. Yet so often it seems that the true motivation for ALMOST ALL GOVERNMENTS is mere strength of their country. They are plotting aiming at regime change to get more allies, they are trying to broaden their country market for export or to get access to cheaper resources, they sell weapons right and left, to whoever pays. They fight for spheres of influence.

This is wrong and I think the people of the world have to come together and expose the truth which only will make this world better.

A year of musical adventures

Long Long Journey by Enya, Память, and Friend that will never betray by Fleur were new found tracks from the old favourite artists.

I am still in love with Jethro Tull & Ian Anderson . I do listen to lots of instructional podcasts too, mostly related to creating my new webpage

The music on TV... me & hubby watch it only three times a year: BBC Alba concert at the new Year, Eurovision in the spring (it is a miracle if we like one or two songs) and The Last Night at the Proms in autumn.

I've attended one live concert this year, Newtown Fest of Art and Sound in February. There was an excellent French band Skiffle Rendez-vous (, and some local artists. I've really enjoyed listening to traditional Welsh music Flinclock with Sandra Smith. Also Sarah Smith Trio, The Velvet Dukes, Eddy Gartry and Fight the Bear were interesting and something completely out of my box.

I hope for more interesting musical discoveries in 2014.
